This is a full-time, in-person position located in Indianapolis, Indiana or New York, NY.

About Our WordPress Web Designer

We are looking for a talented WordPress Web Designer to join our Marketing team. This role will be central to supporting marketing initiatives with a heavy emphasis on designing and optimizing websites for audience growth. The WordPress Web Designer will be responsible for elevating the digital brand presence of Audiochuck and all of its shows, ensuring cohesive design systems, consistent visual branding, and compelling user experiences that attract and retain listeners.

The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with a keen eye for modern design, a deep understanding of user experience (UX) and conversion best practices, and the technical ability to bring their designs to life in WordPress using Divi Builder.

What You’ll Do

• Conceptualize marketing websites and landing pages by creating wireframes and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.

• Regularly update and maintain site content, ensuring branding consistency and alignment with marketing campaigns.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to review and iterate on prototypes before development begins.

• Collaborate closely with the marketing, design, and content teams to create high-converting digital experiences that drive podcast listenership growth, Fan Club growth, merch sales, and more.

• Build websites in WordPress using Divi Builder, translating approved prototypes into fully functional, responsive web pages. Additional development support provided upon request.

• Utilize a staging environment for web building, thoroughly testing site functionality, cross-browser compatibility, performance, and accessibility before pushing to the live environment.

• Own the process of maintaining blogs for weekly and seasonal podcasts while working with Audiochuck’s production team.

• Implement best practices in responsive design, accessibility, SEO, and site performance optimization.

• Monitor and analyze website performance metrics to identify opportunities to improve user experience and conversions.

• Implement analytics tools to track user engagement and performance metrics.
  

What You Will Bring to the Table

• Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Web Designer, with a strong focus on marketing websites.

• Expert-level knowledge of WordPress and proven experience building sites using Divi Builder.

• Strong portfolio showcasing modern, high-converting web design work (preferably marketing or audience-growth focused).

• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, mobile-first design, responsive web development, and accessibility standards.

• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.

• Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS for implementing custom styling when needed.

• Familiarity with building design systems.

• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of web hosting, domains, and content delivery networks (CDNs).
  

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience designing for media or podcast brands.

• Knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies and tools (A/B testing, heatmaps, etc.).

• Familiarity with SEO best practices.

This is a full-time, in-person position located in Indianapolis, Indiana or New York, NY.

The base salary for this role is between $85,000 and $90,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
