We are on the hunt for an accomplished Trusts & Estates Attorney to join our team. This position will provide a challenging and rewarding opportunity to directly impact our high net-worth clients and their families by providing comprehensive estate, tax, and wealth planning services. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record in trusts and estates law, with a focus on high net-worth individuals and families. This is a permanent role that requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

As a Trusts & Estates Attorney, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Advising clients on wealth preservation strategies, estate planning, and tax considerations.
2. Drafting and reviewing a variety of legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
3. Managing estate and trust administrations, including probate proceedings, estate tax returns, and fiduciary income tax returns.
4. Providing sophisticated tax planning and estate administration services to high net-worth individuals and families.
5. Collaborating with other professionals such as accountants, financial advisors, and insurance agents to develop comprehensive estate plans.
6. Keeping abreast with latest legal developments, regulations, and court decisions that affect trusts and estates law.
7. Participating in business development initiatives, including networking events, seminars, and client presentations.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this unique opportunity, you must possess:

1. A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the IL State Bar.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in trusts and estates law, with a focus on high net-worth individuals and families.
4. In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
5. Demonstrated experience in drafting complex wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
10. A strong commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
