We are seeking a System Integrator I - GHS (Great Human Survey) Technician to work closely with the User Studies team. The role involves understanding ongoing issues with capture stages and resolving them to keep the stages operational for external participants. Responsibilities: Providing troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support for Capture Systems during the capture process. Maintaining and addressing component bugs and issues. Analyzing frequent failures and suggesting solutions. Creating lasting solutions for recurring issues. Supporting system upgrades through assembly. Escalating non-standard issues to the appropriate Facebook Technologies team via internal tools. Maintaining system documentation. Setting up and striking equipment for pilots. Collecting data to verify component performance. Communicating with Capture Technicians. Must have: Strong skills in navigating and managing via command line and PowerShell. Experience in Linux system administration and configuration. Experience with writing and editing JSON files. Effective problem diagnosis and resolution skills. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering assembly. Experience working with software teams. Experience troubleshooting software and hardware systems. Nice to Have: Experience with virtual reality systems, cameras, optical systems, lighting, and audio systems. Experience designing mechanical parts in CAD. Soldering experience with through-hole and surface-mount components. Experience with performance-critical software systems.
