Principal Informatics Training & Innovation Strategist 1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants Job Requirements The Principal Informatics Innovation Strategist drives the strategic development of training initiatives to support the adoption of health Information Technology (IT) solutions and optimize clinical workflows. The Principal Informatics Innovation Strategist acts as a key change agent, this role designs and implements change management strategies, collaborates with clinical, informatics, application training, and quality teams, and ensures alignment with organizational goals. The Principal Informatics Innovation Strategist coordinates super user efforts, leading education initiatives and workflow integration to enhance system adoption. The Principal Informatics Innovation Strategist leverages data‑driven insights, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and stays ahead of emerging informatics trends. The Principal Informatics Innovation Strategist serves as a key influencer, leading project initiatives and driving innovation in health IT education, training, and adoption. Primary Accountabilities Leads the strategic development and execution of training initiatives that align with informatics goals, ensuring seamless adoption of new health IT solutions while optimizing clinical workflows. Acts as a key change agent, developing and implementing change management strategies that drive user engagement, minimize resistance, and ensure successful system adoption. Collaborates with IT, clinical leadership, and frontline staff to assess training needs, design comprehensive learning programs, and ensure technology solutions enhance patient care quality and safety. Develops training frameworks and methodologies that incorporate adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, and workflow-based training to support system optimization. Supports data-driven decision‑making by integrating system usage analytics into training strategies, refining programs based on performance metrics and user feedback. Ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and data governance policies by aligning training initiatives with security, privacy, quality, and regulatory standards such as HIPAA. Continuously assess emerging technologies and informatics trends, leading efforts to evaluate their impact on clinical workflows and making training recommendations accordingly. Drives change through effective communication, helping stakeholders understand the value and necessity of system transitions while fostering a culture of adaptability. Serves as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert (SME), guiding leadership and frontline associates in best practices for health IT adoption and workflow optimization. Provides mentorship and coaching to Super Users and Champions, equipping them with the skills to support their peers in system adoption and process improvement. Selects, grows, and retains highly engaged, high performing diverse and inclusive associates. Work Experience Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN), Informatics, Healthcare or Business Administration, Public Health, Education or relevant field. Work Experience Five (5) years of experience in Allied Health, Informatics, Education in a multi‑specialty physician group, or acute care demonstrable competence in the use of electronic clinical applications. Five (5) years of managerial experience. Licensure, Certification, and Skills Licensure: Allied Health Licensure (e.g., RN, RD, RT, MA, EMT, etc.). Certification: Epic certified or accredited within six (6) months of start date. Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational, presentation, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a collaborative team. Ability to work on several complex issues at the same time. Ability to collect, analyze, and present data at various audience levels. Professionalism and an ability to manage stressful situations in a manner that is conducive to finding resolution. Preferred Qualifications Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN), Informatics, Health or Business Administration (MHA/MBA), Public Health, or Education. Certification: Informatics Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). Knowledge of Project Management methodologies.
