Bankruptcy Legal Assistant Phoenix, AZ | Onsite COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE • $24–$26 hourly • Full-time, standard business hours • W2 employment ROLE IMPACT This role directly supports attorneys managing high-volume bankruptcy caseloads. You will ensure timely and accurate document preparation, vendor system updates, and file management. Success is measured by your ability to handle 150+ cases independently, maintain compliance, and provide reliable communication across legal and client channels. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Draft and file proofs of claim and bankruptcy pleadings with high accuracy • Manage 150+ case files, maintaining current records and documentation • Review detailed pay histories and ensure all updates are made in internal tracking systems • Serve as primary telephone contact for assigned caseload, including communication with attorneys, clients, third parties, and outside counsel • Provide general legal support and administrative assistance to assigned attorneys MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced legal environment • Experience in title, mortgage, or escrow support required • Prior bankruptcy and proof of claim experience preferred • Typing speed of 50+ WPM and strong attention to detail CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS • VendorScape, LPS (or equivalent case management software) • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) • Internal legal file tracking systems PREFERRED SKILLS • Strong legal writing and documentation skills • Familiarity with bankruptcy court procedures and compliance standards • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines with minimal supervision By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from CornerStone and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
