Overview Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Civil or Environmental Engineer with 2+ years of water resource experience for our Fort Wayne Office . This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who is interested in playing a key role in planning, designing, and implementing water resource projects that address potable water, wastewater, and stormwater. You will be assigned to a project team tasked with helping communities and industries solve their most challenging environmental infrastructure problems. Our team-based culture effectively fosters learning and growth. Responsibilities Work collaboratively with project managers, project engineers, CAD designers, and environmental scientists. Prepare engineering reports, construction documents, cost estimates, and technical memos. Perform simple design calculations under the supervision of a project engineer or project manager. Interpret and apply federal, state, and local regulations related to water resources and stormwater. Contact government officials for permits and prepare permit applications. Conduct site visits, field investigations, and inspections as needed. Coordinate with contractors. Communicate technical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
