The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant I (COTA I) will assist Occupational Therapists in execution of therapy programs for persons with neuromotor dysfunction (e.g., children/teens with disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and musculoskeletal system). The incumbent will assist in delivering high-quality care with the goal of facilitating functional independence and occupational engagement to resume family, school, and community life following their course of rehabilitation. This position will participate in intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary training and clinical programs, maintain appropriate patient records, and may assist with clinical supervision of certified occupational therapy assistant students and therapy aides .
