Bilingual ESL Coordinator
Rate: $20 to $25/hr. (depending on experience)
Location: Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing
Shift: Full-Time

Position Overview:
As our ESL Coordinator , you will play a vital role in helping Spanish-speaking participants learn English and transition into meaningful healthcare careers such as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and beyond. This is a unique opportunity to combine your passion for education, language development, and community impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver customized English as a Second Language (ESL) lessons with a focus on healthcare vocabulary and workplace communication.
Collaborate with training partners and local schools to align language instruction with healthcare certification programs.
Conduct intake assessments, monitor student progress, and adjust teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
Provide coaching, career pathway guidance, and motivational support to program participants.
Assist participants in preparing for interviews, clinical experiences, and professional certifications.
Create a welcoming, supportive learning environment that respects and uplifts diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Qualifications:
ESL Certification (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent) preferred not required
Bilingual in Spanish and English (required).
Strong interest in healthcare workforce development a plus.
Compassionate, patient, and able to motivate individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Strong organizational, communication, and mentorship skills.

Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday
